Join us as we take a 52-week journey through the Bible.

Every Monday through Friday we’ll provide a Scripture selection from both the Old and New Testament.  You can choose to read both selections each day to read through the Bible or just the one selection to read through the New Testament. A Daily Devotion based on that day’s New Testament reading will be posted here. These messages will challenge you to grow deeper in your Christian Faith and walk closer with Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, review the scriptures you read the past week and reflect on what they mean to you and ask God how you can more fully apply His Word in your life. Then on Sunday be certain to join us for worship as you praise God for all that He has revealed to you during the week and encourage other believers in their journey with God and be encouraged by them.

Journey Through The Bible       Old Testament Reading: Numbers 18-21      New Testament Reading: John 21

So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you?” When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” (John 21:20-21).

The 20th chapter of John seems to be the crowning ending to Jesus’ story. He arose from the grave victori

On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark. She saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb (John 20:1).

God the Father worked for six days creating the world, then rested. God the Son suffered for six hours on the cross, then He rested in the grave. Then, early in the morning on the first day of the week, Christ aros

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus - but secretly because of his fear of the Jews - asked Pilate that he might remove Jesus's body. Pilate gave him permission; so he came and took his body away. Nicodemus (who had previously come to him at night) also came, bringing a mixture of about seventy-five pounds of myrrh and aloes. They took Jesus's body

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them, “Who is it that you’re seeking?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “I am He,” Jesus told them (John 18:4-5).

Human history began in a garden, and the first sin was committed there. The first Adam disobeyed God and was cast out of the garden. The last Adam, Jesus (1 Cor 15:45) was

I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word. May they all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us, so that the world may believe you sent me (John 17:20-21).

Jesus concludes His teaching in the upper room with a prayer. This is the greatest prayer ever recorded anywhere in Scripture. We are privileged

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world (John 16:33).

Jesus concludes His teaching in the Upper Room Discourse with words of encouragement to His disciples. They were confused and afraid concerning what Jesus had told them was about to happen. Jesus spoke of joy, but the e

My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples (John 15:8).

Vineyards were very common in Israel and were important to the life and economy of the nation. When Jesus used this image, He was not introducing something new; it was familiar to every Jew. Throughout this analogy, Jesus is talking intimately with His disciples, not the m

I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. He is the Spirit of truth. The world is unable to receive him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you do know him, because he remains with you and will be in you (John 14:16-17).

When Jesus had washed their feet and put on his outer clothing, he reclined again and said to them, “Do you know what I have done for you? You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are speaking rightly, since that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27).

Throughout chapter ten, Jesus uses the imagery of a shepherd and his sheep. They are often used in the Bible to symbolize God and His children. Sheep and shepherds abounded in and around Judea and the Jews could easily relate to the symbolism.

In verse 27, Jesus provides a powerful summary of His teaching

Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified (John 7:37b-39).
